Sagem Orga has created a SIM-card with integrated Wi-Fi support

The companies Sagem Orga and Telefonica have created the world's first SIM-card with integrated Wi-Fi support, reports SlashGear. The novelty under the name SIMFi will be demonstrated at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The developers are confident that their invention will be claimed by active mobile Internet users.Inserting a SIMFi in a phone with 3G support, you can get a wireless access point. To this Wi-Fi point, you can connect any portable device (eg laptop) to access the Internet.«We are confident that SIMFi with its amazing capability to provide wireless access will greatly simplify the user experience, because going on the Internet will be possible at any time and anywhere", - said the representative of Sagem Orga, Remy Krikko.
