Rumors about the interest of the American corporation in the acquisition of the Canadian manufacturer RIM were circulating even from last year. Now the experts say that the Redmond company is eyeing to Nokia.In Morningstar think that Microsoft intends to increase its share on the smartphone market through the development of hardware platforms.However, other analytical companies doubt that the world's largest software maker will be able to buy RIM, and especially Nokia. Thus, the market value of the Canadian corporation is currently estimated at approximately $39 billion, and the purchase of the Finnish manufacturer would cost approximately with $12 billion more. The "purchasing power" of Microsoft itself is estimated at $36 billion.On the other hand, in 2008, the company of Steve Ballmer was willing to pay almost $48 billion for Yahoo!.
