iPhone Coming to Verizon in 2011?

August 31, 2009

Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray predicted that Apple’s iPhone might reach Verizon by 2011, taking into account the current relationship between AT&T and Apple. Could it be that the recent scandal involving the FCC, Google Voice apps, Apple and AT&T, shook the partnership between the carrier and the iPhone maker?

Why Verizon? Well, maybe because Sprint is all about Palm Pre and maybe some future follow-ups, while T-Mobile is certainly the number one Android handset carrier for the following years.

Expect to find out what carrier Apple will work with in the next 4 months, but I have a feeling that AT&T will remain the perfect choice, specially if they upgrade their network.

Why I switched back to an AT&T iPhone

Look, I have been dreaming about a Verizon iPhone since the original announcement was made in 2007. I had the first digital phone Verizon Wireless offered ...
