Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray predicted that Apple’s iPhone might reach Verizon by 2011, taking into account the current relationship between AT&T and Apple. Could it be that the recent scandal involving the FCC, Google Voice apps, Apple and AT&T, shook the partnership between the carrier and the iPhone maker?
Why Verizon? Well, maybe because Sprint is all about Palm Pre and maybe some future follow-ups, while T-Mobile is certainly the number one Android handset carrier for the following years.
Expect to find out what carrier Apple will work with in the next 4 months, but I have a feeling that AT&T will remain the perfect choice, specially if they upgrade their network.
