HTC’s latest money-saving smartphone, the Smart model just got handled by the folks of Engadget at CES 2010. This upcoming affordable device is based on Qualcomm’s Brew platform, in order to keep the costs down and replace WinMo and Android with this solution.
HTC Smart somehow manages to use the Sense UI and it packs a 300 MHz processor, supports full HTML browsing, Twitter, email and much more. The 2.8 inch resistive display may seem tiny to anyone who’s used a HTC HD2, but the hands on experience revealed that the virtual QWERTY keyboard is not all that cramped up.
This is the kind of phone you wouldn’t buy if you’ve ever had a high end HTC model, but if you’ve never purchased a device made by this brand, Smart might just be your first choice.
