Sliding phones are all the rage nowadays, but I don’t quite see a promising future for them, specially if we continue to buy full touchscreen devices without physical QWERTY keyboards. However, a new slider design could save this category of handsets. Swiss designer Matthias Pugin comes to the rescue, with his cool t02 concept phone.
This handset is small enough to be hidden in your palm and it comes with an innovative sliding mechanism, as shown in the images below. You should also know that the t02 concept phone is a classy device, with a black piano finish and a modern look. The keypad is strange, though and I’m not sure how comfortable it is to use.

Prashant Chandra created a very interesting Fujitsu laptop concept, that’s part of the Lifebook series and it’s seen as a 2013 product. As you can see, the handset is perfectly integrated into the laptop, as it’s inserted into a slot, just like a memory card would. Also, there’s a digital ...
We’ve seen Nokia prototypes in The Dark Knight and Star Trek and maybe even a tablet from the Finns in Tron (the one from 2010), although that hasn’t been confirmed and now it’s time for yet another nifty product placement, this time in the movie Real Steel. The folks of ...
